Best Dressed at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards

The 2016 Golden Globe Awards were a night of champagne, tears, and a whole host of awkward moments between Ricky Gervais and the star studded attendees. Things got pretty strange with Mel Gibson, but I guess we all saw that coming. Some highlights for hilarity were when Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence got on stage and made us all pee our pants laughing. A low moment was definitely when everyone kept shaking their head in relation to The Martian being nominated for Best Comedy. It was a great movie, and there were definitely funny parts, but Best Comedy was a bit of a stretch.

Anyway, we're actually here to talk about the fashion so let's get started shall we? The Golden Globes are a time of experimentation and fun. Unlike the Oscars, which are a much more serious affair, celebs tend to branch out with their fashion choices and I was delighted to see some quirk and some couture on the red carpet. Here are the Best Dressed celebs from the 2016 Golden Globe Awards.

Lady Gaga was all about the curves in Atelier Versace.

Jennifer Lawrence looked like a goddess in Dior Couture.

Jane Fonda gave us FASHION in Yves Saint Laurent Couture. Yasss Queen!

Kate Hudson should be on the worst dressed list in this Michael Khors collection gown, but her abs literally carried a lot of sway in my decision.

Cate Blanchette is regal in Givinchy.

Kate Bosworth sparkles in Dolce & Gabbana

Olivia Wilde stuns in scarlet sequined Michael Kors Collection.

It's all about the velvet and the boobs for Kirsten Dunst in this Valentino gown.

Maybe Brie Larson looks a bit Vanna White in this gold Calvin Klein number, but she's pulling it off. And again, the abs!

Alicia Vikander looks ethereal and innocent in this Louis Vuitton concoction.

Melissa McCarthy looked perfection in this kimono inspired gown, the hair and makeup are also perfection.

A few stars wore similar styles, but we think Tajari P. Henson brought it best in her Stella McCartney version.

Uzo Aduba killed it in this understated gown by Talbot Runhof.

Viola Davis looked like a queen in Marchesa.

Queen Latifah looked effortless in Badgley Mishka blue.
