Regardless of whether you're in daydreaming in class or staring blankly at your work computer screen, it's easy to get distracted and feel uninspired. Try the following to get excited--or at the very least, back on track--about what you're working on.
Make to-do lists
There is nothing more satisfying than crossing something off your to-do list. Plus, many people feel that writing things down is more beneficial to remembering everything that they need to do. This is helpful for school, work, personal goals, chores...basically everything!
Take a walk
Getting out of your main workspace allows you to clear your head, and can also help alleviate stress and overcoming mental blocks. Also, it's generally unhealthy to sit still for 8 hours a day, so get moving!
Use a few minutes to do some streamlined social media browsing
In almost any position, using some time to keep up with what is going on in your industry is super important, and can help you apply current trends to what you're working on. Otherwise, sometimes just seeing some interesting things can change the way you're thinking, but be careful not to waste too much time on this as teachers/co-workers/bosses may assume you are just procrastinating.
Throw junk away
Cleaning up your workspace can be therapeutic and allow you to feel more productive. Even just reorganizing a few things makes a difference!
Get more involved
Are you bored because you feel uninspired, or are you bored because you actually have nothing to do after completing all of your tasks and responsibilities? See if you can help out a classmate or coworker, or ask your boss or peers on a project if there is anything else you can do to contribute.
