How To Throw a Chic NYE Party on a Budget

New Year's Eve is tomorrow! If you haven't started getting your house together for your NYE party, don't worry! You still have time. If you are looking to throw a super chic party on a budget, we have some great tips and ideas for you. NYE is all about friends, family, and glitter, and trust me when I say, you can never have enough glitter. To create a chic party on a budget, it's all about presentation. Take a look at some of my suggestions for a chic NYE party on a budget.

1. DIY decorations

You can make any party look chic with some classy DIY decorations. With Pinterest, you can find just about anything you want to make on your own, and most of it is totally doable to make in just an hour. My advice to you is that for NYE you can never have enough gold and silver glitter. Here are a few ideas to get you in the DIY mindset.

2. String Lights:

I use string lights all over my dining room and kitchen to create a more chic and trendy look. Mixing and matching different string lights creates a unique look and makes the mood brighter and more fun. Here are a few awesome ways to use string lights to brighten up your NYE party.

3. Make Your Own Photo Booth

This is a fun one! Whether you have a tripod that you can set up with a camera, or you and your friends are just going to take turns snapping photos, make a fun photo booth! Any plain wall you have in your house can be used as the station for the Photo Booth. Here are some ideas for the backdrops. They are super easy and cheap to make.

4. Appetizers, Punch, Dessert

Feeding your guests doesn't have to be expensive. Stick with appetizers, punch, and dessert, and skip the dinner. For appetizers, have some cheese and crackers, some veggies and dip, and even some chips and salsa if you want. Make a punch using prosecco instead of champagne. For dessert, decorate a table with a festive tablecloth to make it look chic! Add on a cake, cookies, or whatever you like baking.

5. NYE Playlist

Don't hire a DJ when you can just make your own playlist. Before the party make a list of your favorite tunes in Spotify and have them play throughout the night. It's easy to cut costs when you have your own means of playing music.

What are you most excited about for your party?
